Analysis of the development of sustainable development indicators and their impact on the production sector for the period (2019-2021)

Abstract

The study attempts to find out the role that the local productive sector can adopt and play and the extent to which it is affected by the comprehensive sustainable development on the local side. In order to achieve the main objective above and the sub-objectives emanating from it, the research adopted the analytical approach by highlighting the units of the productive sector represented by the industrial, agricultural, transportation and other sectors. The study reached a set of conclusions, the most important of which are; The basic research hypothesis is proven according to the data of the analytical side, and sustainable development is one that takes into account the human, environmental and developmental aspects, that is, it is a comprehensive process that deals with the various aspects and components of social life, on a comprehensive basis, with the aim of raising the standard of living of individuals without conflicting with the governing environment variables . As it became clear through the analysis of indicators of sustainable development, that these indicators were within safe and advanced limits in 2019, but they declined significantly in the year of the pandemic (2020) due to the closure of the global economy and its impact on the local economy, then these indicators rose again starting from 2021 , indicating that the economy has achieved sustainability during the period covered by the research. Accordingly, the study recommended a set of recommendations that serve the purposes of the study.
