Abstract

The most important objectives: The current study aimed to identify the role of symbolic capital in reducing the phenomenon of bullying in the workplace in the Salah al-Din Health Directorate.

Research Methodology: The study adopted the (analytical descriptive) approach, which is one of the most important and common scientific research methods.

Data collection tools: The current study used the (questionnaire) tool as a main tool for collecting data and information about the study problem.

Study sample: The current study used (managers and employees) in the Salah al-Din Health Directorate, as (250) questionnaires were distributed to the sample in the researched directorate.

The statistical tools used: Two reliable statistical programs (SPSS V22) and (AMOS V20) were used in the application. Statistical analysis was performed on the data collected according to the questionnaire and according to the appropriate statistical methods for each test.

The most important results: It became clear from the results of the field study the important role of the independent variable, symbolic capital, in limiting or controlling the dependent variable, which is bullying in the workplace.

The most important proposals: The importance of attracting workers who possess the elements and characteristics of symbolic capital to reduce the negative phenomena that work to destroy the organization, and these behaviors include bullying in the workplace.
