Administrative leaders and their effectiveness in reducing the phenomenon of job corruption: A field study for the General Directorate of Education in Diyala Governorate-Republic of Iraq

Abstract

The problem of administrative corruption is a global problem faced by societies and is considered one of the most dangerous phenomena, especially developing countries, which results in paralysis in the construction process and economic developments, which leads to the collapse of the economy and financial and administrative capacity, and thus the state’s inability to face the difficulties of development, reconstruction and infrastructure restoration.

 Where the importance of the current research is in studying the phenomenon of corruption prevalent in Iraq, especially after the phenomenon of terrorism, which greatly affected all the facilities of life in the state and the great role played by the administrative leadership in limiting this negative phenomenon in society. An exploratory questionnaire was distributed to a sample of administrative staff and department managers in the Directorate of Education in Diyala Governorate to find out the extent of the role played by the administrative leadership to reduce the phenomenon of job corruption in it.
